Remove or replace combustible vegetation, mulch and stored materials immediately beside buildings to reduce ember ignition and direct flame contact.

Municipalities or insurers organize block-level assessments, group procurement, grants or loans, and follow-up maintenance to address structure-to-structure spread and shared vegetation. Programs need equity safeguards for renters and low-income owners.
