Maintain a sourced, versioned recovery ledger with common outcome metrics

#00363

Record recovery actions, costs, baselines, methods, outcomes, failures and revisions in a shared evidence system so conservation programs can compare and reuse reliable lessons.

Description

Use a structured, versioned record for each recovery deployment. Capture the target species, intervention, implementer, dates, geography at a safe resolution, funding and cost where known, baseline, method, outputs, biological outcomes, uncertainty, unintended effects and sources.

The Conservation Standards provide a common adaptive-management framework for planning, monitoring and learning. A shared ledger should preserve local context rather than forcing unlike ecosystems into one score, and it should distinguish plans, active work, completed work and independently verified outcomes.

Sensitive locations, Indigenous knowledge and security-relevant operational details require consent and access controls. Transparency should improve accountability without increasing poaching, trafficking or disturbance risk.
